by The funeral for former Glace Bay area Councillor Darrell Flynn will take place today.
Flynn died last week after being hospitalized because of complications from pneumonia.
His funeral mass is due to get underway at 11:00 this morning at St. Anne’s Church in Glace Bay.
Flynn was 58 and served on the Cape Breton Victoria-Regional School Board before being elected to Council in a 2014 by-election.
He had planned to run in this fall’s municipal elections.
He also owned the Swiss Chalet franchise in Sydney.
