“Floodsgiving” Fundraiser for Flood Victims

Cape Breton’s music community is organizing fundraisers for people affected by the Thanksgiving Day flood.

 

A series of concerts called Floodsgiving, which will take place across the Island in the next few weeks.

 

Money will go to people who’ve suffered losses and are struggling with the basic necessities.

 

Breton Brewery in Sydney hosted the first event on Saturday with a ten-hour, live music show.

 

Other concerts are still being organized and a major concert is planned for Centre 200 in Sydney.

 

It’s tentatively scheduled for November 27th.
