Nova Scotia is reporting five new cases of COVID-19 today, including one new case in the regional municipality.
The Cape Breton case is travel-related, and brings the number of known, active cases in the municipality to four.
The other four new cases are in the Central Zone; two are travel-related, and two are close contacts with previously reported cases.
One previous Central Zone case has been removed from the province’s count since it was counted in another province’s numbers.
Seven more people have recovered, bringing the number of known, active cases in Nova Scotia to 40.
Three people are in hospital with the infection.
Since the pandemic began, 1,768 Nova Scotians have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, 61 in the regional municipality.
One thousand six hundred and sixty-two people in the province have recovered from COVID-19.
