Five new cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia

Provincial health authorities reported five new cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia yesterday.

Three of the cases are in the Western Zone and are close contacts with previously reported cases, while two cases are in the Central Zone; one a close contact, and one currently under investigation.

A previously reported Eastern Zone case has been removed from Nova Scotia’s case count, since it was previously diagnosed in another province.

The number of known, active cases in the province stands at 20, with no active cases in the regional municipality.

One person remains in hospital with the infection.

One thousand six hundred and seventy Nova Scotians have tested positive for the novel coronavirus since the pandemic began; 56 in the regional municipality.

One thousand five hundred and eighty-five people in the province have recovered from COVID-19.
