Fire closes streets in North Sydney

A fire resulted in the closure of Blowers and Pierce Streets in North Sydney yesterday afternoon.
The fire occurred shortly after 1:30 yesterday afternoon in a vacant house on Blowers Street. Luckily, firefighters happened to be across the street at the Canadian Tire for a fundraiser, and made quick work of the blaze.
Police say the site has been secured and the fire marshall will be on site tomorrow. The investigation is ongoing.
