Final Tory Leadership Debate, Tonight

The five people vying to lead the province’s Progressive Conservative Party gather in Truro tonight for the last debate of the campaign.

Regional Mayor Cecil Clarke, Progressive Conservative MLA’s Tim Houston, John Lohr and Elizabeth Smith McCrossin and Halifax Seaport Farmers Market Executive Director Julie Chaisson are the leadership hopefuls.

They’ve already met for debates in Sydney, Dartmouth, Bridgewater and Middleton.

The leadership convention takes place at the Halifax Exhibition Centre on October 26th and 27th.

The Tories are using a one-member, one-vote system in their leadership race weighted proportionally by constituency.
