The Highland Arts Theatre in Sydney is getting $750,000 from the federal government.
Sydney–Glace Bay MP Mike Kelloway made the announcement this morning.
Ottawa says the HAT will use the money to install accessible washrooms and entrances, repair key infrastructure and add new heating and lighting systems.
It will also update rehearsal, production and audience spaces.
The Highland Arts Theatre has operated out of the former St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Bentinck Street since 2014.
