Farrow Sentenced to 15 Years For Slaunwhite Death

A Glace Bay man has been given a 15-year prison sentence for the killing of Harold Buster Slaunwhite.

51 year-old Raymond Glen Farrow was originally charged with first degree murder in the death of 82 year-old Slaunwhite in his Dominion home in September of 2006.

He pleaded guilty to the lesser charge in June.

During a sentencing hearing today, the Crown told the court Farrow admitted to stabbing Slaunwhite after an argument and took 700 dollars from Slaunwhite’s home.

Farrow has been in custody since late 2016 and had been scheduled to go to trial next month.

His sentence has been reduced by 975 days for time served.
