Family Of Four Homeless After Glace Bay Fire

The Red Cross says a family of four has been forced from their Glace Bay home after a weekend fire.

The organization says the fire in the company house at 7 Winona Street was reported shortly after 1:00, yesterday morning.

It says there were no injuries and there was no one living in the other side of the building.

Red Cross volunteers have arranged emergency lodging, food and winter clothing plus other basics and comfort toys for the woman and her three children who range in age from two to nine.

There’s no word on the cause of the fire.
