Extension Of Federal Ban Wipes Out Sydney Cruise Ship Season

The federal government has made an announcement today that wipes out the cruise ship season for the Port of Sydney.

Ottawa has extended COVID-19 cruise ship limitations until October 31st.

No ship with overnight accommodation that carries more than 100 people is allowed in Canadian waters until at least that date.

Ships carrying less than 100 people have to follow guidance from local health authorities.

Ferries and water taxis can continue to operate with coronavirus restrictions in place.
