Exemptions to Health Rules Introduced For High School Grads

The province is introducing an exemption to public health rules for Grade 12 students graduating during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under the exemption, graduation events can only be held by municipalities, or by recognized businesses or other community organizations.

Other conditions under the exemption include requiring people to arrive at the event in a vehicle, and everyone in the vehicle has to be from a single household or household bubble.

People will also have to keep a physical distance of six feet when they get out of the vehicle, and organizers will have to make sure the rules are followed at their event.

More details on the exemption can be found on the province’s website.
