Eskasoni Men Charged With Attempted Murder After Waycobah Attack

Two Eskasoni men are due in Port Hawkesbury court this morning on charges of attempted murder after RCMP say another man was attacked in Waycobah early yesterday morning.

Police say they got a number of calls about a man being chased by two other men on Portage Road in the community at around 3:30.

They say the man appears to have been hit by a gold coloured car on the nearby Trans Canada highway before being attacked by the people inside the car with an object.

Police say the man was taken to Inverness hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Two men were later arrested at a Waycobah home.

26 year-old Joshua Lindsay Paul and 34 year-old Robert Lindsay Paul also face counts of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

Police say the man who was attacked knows his attackers.
