by The Regional Municipality is kicking in $39,000 for emergency short-term repairs to the roof of the Bayplex in Glace Bay.
Mayor Cecil Clarke says work has to get done on the leaking roof or even more water and ice damage will occur.
Clarke adds it will cost more than 600-thousand dollars to replace all sections of roof on the facility
He goes on to say the CBRM will look for funding from the province and Ottawa once the federal election is over.
He says the Bayplex also needs some new floors and other work because of damage from the leaky roof.
