Eighteen new cases of COVID in Nova Scotia today, four on Cape Breton Island

Nova Scotia is reporting 18 news cases of COVID-19 today, including three in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and one in the Inverness, Victoria, and Richmond Community Health Network.

Thirteen new cases are being reported in the Central Zone, and one in the West.

Forty-five Nova Scotians have recovered, bringing the number of known, active cases in the province to 224.

Eleven people have recovered in the municipality, bringing the number of active cases here to 53. 

There are now two active cases in the rest of Cape Breton Island, for a total of 56 in the Eastern Zone.

Twenty people province-wide are in hospital with the respiratory infection, six in intensive care.
