Eight new councillors elected in CBRM

Mayor-elect Amanda McDougall will take over a council that has eight new faces around the table.

Gordon MacDonald will represent District 1, while District 3 will be represented by Cyril MacDonald, who beat incumbent Esmond “Blue” Marshall.

Glen Paruch has been chosen as District 6’s councillor, and Steve Parsons won District 7 over incumbent Ivan Doncaster.

James Edwards will take the District 8 seat at the table, while Kenny Tracey will represent District 9.

District 11’s new councillor is Darren O’Quinn, and former councillor Lorne Green returns as District 12 councillor.

Earlene MacMullin, Darren Bruckschwaiger, Steve Gillespie, and Eldon MacDonald were all given another term in council by voters.
