Druhan Announces More Daycare Measures

Early Childhood Minister Becky Druhan says the province is creating a table to advise her on the transition to universal daycare.

The move comes after private daycare operators raised concerns about the options available to them and the amount of information they were getting.

Druhan says details on the advisory table will be released in the coming weeks.

Druhan also announced this morning daycare operators will get more funding to offset the 25 per cent fee reductions for parents that take effect on April 1st.

She says operators will also get a one-time grant to support the freeze on fees.
