Driver in Fatal Crash Due in Court

A teen charged in connection with a triple fatal crash in Inverness Co. last summer is due back in Port Hawkesbury Court, today.

 

Last month, a bench warrant was issued for the17-year-old from Harbourview, outside of Port Hood after he failed to show up in court.

 

The boy who can’t be identified because of his age faces three counts each of dangerous driving causing death, and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

The teen’s lawyer was also absent from last month’s scheduled court appearance after informing the court he wouldn’t be able to attend.

RCMP say 17-year-old Logan Patrick MacIntyre, from Judique, his brother, 19-year-old Morgan Christopher MacIntyre and 20-year-old Joel Cecil Chandler from Port Hood were killed in the July crash.

Four others were injured after the vehicle they were in crashed into the ditch on Shore Rd. in Harbourview.
