Donkin Sale Official

The sale of the Donkin Mine to a subsidiary of US-based the Cline Group is now official.   Morien Resources, which has a 25 percent share in the operation, announced yesterday that Kameron Collieries now owns 75 percent of the mine.   An official with Morien Resources says the two companies can now advance the Donkin mine toward production.   Terms of the sale agreement have not been disclosed.   The chair of the community liaison committee for the mine, Hugh Kennedy, says the Cline Group has organized a public information session in Donkin for Tuesday.   There’s no word on when the mine could open, but Kennedy says people in the area remain hopeful.
