Donkin man to return to court

A Donkin man is to return to court later this month to enter pleas on multiple offences.

33-year-old Daniel Pius MacInnis is charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of mischief relating to property damage, two counts of pointing a firearm, two counts of uttering threats, and single counts of assault, careless storage of a firearm and carrying a weapon dangerous to public peace.

The charges stem from an incident in August where police say they were called to a disturbance at a home in Donkin.
Police say a man was making threats with a weapon toward family members.
MacInnis, who continues his release on conditions, is now expected to enter pleas to the charges Sept. 18.
