Diesel Up After Interrupter Clause Invoked

The Utility and Review Board invoked its interrupter clause to raise the price of diesel, overnight.

Diesel increased by 8.9 cents a litre and now goes for a minimum of $1.70.6 in Cape Breton.

The UARB says the change was necessary because of significant shifts in the market price for diesel.

Meanwhile, the price of gas remains unchanged.

Gas still goes for a minimum of $1.52.2 cents a litre on the island.
