The price of diesel went down by 6.4 cents overnight after the Utility and Review Board invoked its interrupter clause to change the price early, this week.
Diesel now goes for a minimum of $2.48.9 cents a litre in Cape Breton.
The UARB says the adjustment was necessary because of significant shifts in the market price of diesel oil.
Meanwhile, the price of gas didn’t change and gas still goes for a minimum of $1.81.7 cents on the Island.
