Detour Washed Out On Cabot Trail Reopens

Parks Canada says a single-lane detour that was washed out on a section of the Cabot Trail has now reopened.

The detour in the Black Brook Cove Beach area in Ingonish was washed out in flooding caused by heavy rain overnight on Wednesday.

Parks Canada has been working to repair the road in that area after it was washed out in heavy rains last fall.

The detour is in place while that work continues.
