Destination Cape Breton Launching Waterfall Hikes

Destination Cape Breton is launching a new waterfall hike series over the next three weekends to encourage people to get back on the trails after the recent lifting of the ban on travelling in the woods.

Destination Cape Breton CEO Terry Smith says the group is concerned visitors may think it’s not safe to travel to Cape Breton at this time.

The hike series, called “Back to the Woods”, will feature hikes to two waterfalls each Saturday.

The hikes will go to Egypt Falls and Gairloch Falls this coming weekend.

Groups will gather for lunch in-between hikes and end of day refreshments and suggested accommodation and dining options will also be provided.
