Desmond Inquiry To Resume Next Week

The Desmond Fatality Inquiry will resume hearings at the courthouse in Port Hawkesbury on Monday.

Officials say the proceedings are expected to continue on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, with Thursday set aside if required.

The Inquiry proceedings adjourned on June 23rd.

Afghanistan veteran Lionel Desmond suffered from severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and killed his family and then himself in January of 2017.

The inquiry will draft recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths in future.
