by The tender for design services for the expansion of the Regional Hospital in Sydney has been awarded.
The province says Chicago-headquartered engineering and design firm EXP will design the new 190,000 square foot building.
The company used to be based in Toronto and has an office on Alexandra Street in Sydney.
The expansion will be built at the back of the hospital and will house a new and bigger emergency department, cancer centre and critical care department.
The province says work is happening now to get the site ready for the expansion.
