Department Of Fisheries Makes Correction On 9th Dead Whale Report

The federal Department of Fisheries has issued a correction to an earlier social media post reporting a ninth dead right whale was spotted off eastern Cape Breton.

The Department says the whale seen yesterday may be one spotted before and already reported to the public and media.

It says the official number of whales found dead in Canadian waters this year still stands at eight.

There are only about 400 North Atlantic right whales left in the World.
