Deaths At Two Antigonish County Wharves

Antigonish RCMP are dealing with two deaths, today.

Police say a man is dead after a car went off the Havre Boucher Wharf, yesterday.

The incident happened just before noon and a police dive team was sent to the scene but police have released no more information.

Just before midnight on Tuesday, RCMP got called about a missing boater at the Ballantyne’s Cove Wharf.

Police say a man had been out fishing, and had docked his boat, but the caller couldn’t find the man.

Police say the man’s body was later found in the water, near his boat.

They say he was not wearing a life jacket when he was found.

An autopsy will be carried out today on the 33 year-old from Cape George and police say the investigation is ongoing.
