Deadline Today To Get P-C Membership That Provides Right To Vote In Leadership

People have until 5:00 this evening to become a member of the provincial Progressive Conservative Party and gain the right to vote in this fall’s leadership.

The Tories are using a one-member, one-vote system in their leadership race.

The leadership convention will take place at the Halifax Exhibition Centre on October 26th and 27th.

Regional Mayor Cecil Clarke, Progressive Conservative MLA’s Tim Houston, John Lohr and Elizabeth Smith McCrossin and Halifax Seaport Farmers Market Executive Director Julie Chaisson are vying to become the party’s next leader.

The second last debate for the leadership hopefuls takes place tonight in Bridgewater.
