Daycares Allowed To Re-Open June 15th

Day cares in the province will be allowed to open on June 15th.

The province was aiming to let day cares re-open earlier but health officials say the industry didn’t give enough detail on their plans for re-opening.

The province says childcare centres will open at a minimum 50 per cent capacity, while family daycare homes will be able to open at full capacity.

The province says its health guidelines for day cares were developed with input from pediatrics at the IWK and feedback from about 2,500 people.
