Crew From Province Leaves To Help Fight B.C. Wildfires

Nova Scotia sent a fire crew to British Columbia this morning to help fight wildfires in that province.

The twenty firefighters and an agency representative from the Department of Natural Resources were scheduled to leave from Halifax Stanfield International Airport at 10:00.

They’ll assist battling large, out-of-control wildfires in Prince George, BC.

The province says current fire conditions in Nova Scotia allow its wildfire resources to be shared.

It says the crews can return early if they’re needed at home.
