COVID Restrictions To Be Lifted March 21st.

The province says it’s going to end all COVID-19 restrictions on March 21st.

Phase 1 of the province’s reopening plan will begin on Monday of next week, when people will no longer have to show proof of full vaccination before taking part in non-essential activities.

Other restrictions will continue.

Phase two will start on the following Monday, March 7th.

Changes at that time will include putting the informal gathering limit at 25 people from the same home or close social group indoors and 50 outdoors and restaurants and bars can go back to regular hours and operate at 75 per cent capacity, with physical distancing as much as possible.

At acute-care and long-term care homes, restrictions on visitation and in other areas will be determined through infection control and occupational health processes at each home.

Phase 3 of the reopening plan will see the ending of all restrictions, including at schools, on March 21st.
