COVID Restrictions Eased

The province is easing some restrictions on outdoor and recreational activities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Robert Strang, says people will still have to follow physical distancing and other public health rules.

Strang announced today provincial and municipal parks will be allowed to re-open, though playground equipment will still be off limits.

The new measures also include allowing trails, community gardens, garden centres and nurseries to re-open, and people will be allowed to go to their cottages but only with people they live with.

More details on the changes can be found online at novascotia.ca/coronavirus.
