COVID 19 Case Connected To Breton Education Centre

B.E.C  COVID-19 Case   9pm edit

The province says there is a case of COVID-19 connected to Breton Education Centre in New Waterford.

The person has not been in the school since June 4th.

The school plans to reopen to students Monday, and expects to update families on Sunday.

Public Health says it’ll be in touch with close contacts to explain what they should do next.

Everyone who is a close contact will be asked to self-isolate for 14 days.

All students and staff should get a COVID-19 test even if they don’t have symptoms.

Meanwhile, the province says there is also a case of COVID-19 connected to Citadel High School in Halifax.

The province says those two cases were reported after today’s deadline, so they’ll be added in tomorrow’s case count.
