Councillor Gillespie Updates His Condition

Regional Councillors will resume a meeting this morning that was abruptly ended on Thursday after Councillor Steve Gillespie collapsed.

Meanwhile, Gillespie has sent out a news release to update his condition.

Gillespie says the attack was brought on by dehydration, fatigue, a sudden drop in blood pressure, blood sugar and stress all at once.

Gillespie also says he’s collapsed three times before in the past 25 years.

He goes on to say he’s been given the all clear to return to his duties as councillor but adds he’ll have to make a few lifestyle changes.

He also thanks those who came to his aid after he collapsed.
