Council Wraps Up Budget Workshops

Regional Councillors completed their budget workshops this afternoon.

After three days of draft budget presentations, Mayor Amanda McDougall says council and staff have a lot of work to do over the coming weeks to put together the coming fiscal year’s budget.

At today’s first session, Council got a review of the budget for recreation facilities.

They later got a presentation on the draft capital budget for 2021-22.

The municipality is planning to spend 6 million dollars for work on local streets in the upcoming construction season.

Video of all the budget workshops can be seen on the municipality’s Youtube channel.
