Council Opts For Hybrid Voting

Regional Councillors voted today to use a hybrid method of voting for this fall’s municipal elections.

That will see both electronic voting and traditional paper ballots made available to voters.

The move came after some councillors expressed concerns with electronic voting only.

That includes security concerns as well as the fact they feel some voters are more comfortable with paper ballots.
