Council Approves Electronic-Only Voting

Regional council has voted 8-3 in favour of approving electronic-only voting for the October municipal election.

Councillor Jim MacLeod is one of those who voted against the idea.

He says many seniors don’t have internet connections.

Meanwhile, Mayor Cecil Clarke says electronic voting is the safest way to hold an election during the pandemic.

People can vote by using computers and other electronic devices or a phone.
