Council Approves Delays For Sydney Development Project

Regional Council has voted to approve a request for delays on a waterfront development project in Sydney.

Doucet Developments’ Edgewater project on the Esplanade will include a hotel and apartment building as well as possible condos.

The company requested an extension to December 31st to complete design work and an extension to April 30th to start breaking ground.

A company representative told council this morning the developer is behind schedule on architectural and engineering work and they want to make sure the facilities are designed in the most efficient possible way.
