Coombes Being Sworn In Virtually

Kendra Coombes will become the first Nova Scotia MLA to be sworn in virtually, today.

Coombes was elected as the NDP MLA for Cape Breton Centre in the March 10th by-election.

But she hasn’t been sworn in since all activity at the Legislature has been suspended because of COVID-19.

Her virtual swearing-in takes place at 1:00 this afternoon.

It will be livestreamed on the Legislature website.
