Conciliation Talks Next Month After CBU Faculty Votes In Favour Of Strike

Both sides will meet for conciliation talks next month after members of the Cape Breton University Faculty Association voted almost 91 per cent in favour of a strike.

The union says contract talks have stalled since they started in July.

The main outstanding issues are wages as well as equitable and fair teaching and research support.

The university is offering annual wage increases of 1.5 per cent.

Conciliation talks are scheduled for November 13th and 14th.
