Community Celebrates Munro Park’s Contest Success

About 1,500 people gathered in North Sydney’s Munro Park yesterday to celebrate the Park’s success in a national competition.

The venue is one of four finalists in the Kraft Project Play contest and has already won 25-thousand dollars for making it to the finals.

The money will be used to improve the soccer field and facilities at Munro Park.

It’s now competing with three other contenders for the top $250,000 prize.

Yesterday’s celebration and rally at the park was captured by camera crews from TSN.

TSN soccer analyst Jason deVos and Canadian women’s national soccer team player Josée Bélanger were also in North Sydney for yesterday’s rally.

People can vote for Munro Park in the online contest by going to kraftprojectplay.com from 1:00 in the afternoon next Monday until 1:00 PM, next Tuesday.
