Committee Recommending $15 Minimum Wage By October 1st

The province’s Minimum Wage Review Committee is proposing a faster approach to reaching a minimum wage of $15 an hour.

The Committee is recommending an increase of 90 cents an hour to $14.50 on April 1st.

Another increase of 50 cents an hour will bring the minimum wage to $15 on October 1st.

The government says it will look for input from community partners before making a decision on the committee’s recommendations.
