Collision Reporting Centre Opens At Police Headquarters

A grand opening took place this morning for the province’s first Collision Reporting Centre at Regional Police Headquarters in Sydney.

Regional Police say drivers involved in minor collisions that don’t involve any criminal activity, hazardous materials or serious injuries will be directed to report the crash at the Collision Reporting Centre.

The Reporting Centre is a partnership between Regional Police and Ontario-based Accident Support Services International.

The Centre is paid for by insurance companies and the services it offers are free of charge.

The Centre will operate from Monday to Friday between 8:00 in the morning and 4:00 in the afternoon in the main lobby of Police Headquarters on Grand Lake Road.
