The Cape Breton Eagles will be looking for a new head coach.
The team announced today head coach Louis Robitaille is leaving to take a coaching job in the All-Russian Hockey League for the 2025–26 season.
43 year-old Robitaille spent two years with the Eagles after being hired as head coach in the summer of 2023, and coached the team to a record of 73-49-5-5.
Eagles majority owner Irwin Simon says he thanks Robitaille for his two seasons behind the bench.
Robitaille says his family and parents will continue to call Cape Breton home, and he’ll return to the Island in the off-season.
