Cline Dies In Helicopter Crash

The General Manager of Kameron Collieries says regular work at the Donkin Mine will resume on Monday after the parent company’s founder, Chris Cline, died in a helicopter crash in the Bahamas yesterday.

Shannon Campbell says he’s saddened by the news.

He also says Cline spent a lot of time in Cape Breton and his presence here will be missed.

Cline’s young daughter was also among the seven people killed in yesterday’s accident.

They were flying to Fort Lauderdale, Florida yesterday when their helicopter went down in the Atlantic shortly after takeoff.

Cline’s death has led to an outpouring of condolences in West Virginia, including from that state’s governor.

Cline would’ve turned 61 today.
