Main Building of Inverary Inn in Baddeck Destroyed by Fire

Management at the Inverary Inn in Baddeck say they’re evaluating the rest of their season after the resort’s main building was destroyed by fire, overnight.

They say they’re thankful all guests and staff got out safely.

They also want to thank the six fire departments that fought the blaze.

Baddeck Fire Chief Darren MacAulay says the fire seems to have started in the Inn’s kitchen.

He says the building was fully engulfed when they arrived at the fire shortly before 2:30, this morning.
