Mayor Cecil Clarke says the Regional Municipality has wrapped up its busiest construction season to date.
Clarke says work on roads, water and sewer systems totalled $21 million, this year.
He says that’s the largest one-year investment in roadwork and underground infrastructure in the Regional Municipality’s history.
The work included more than 11 kilometers of water main, 23 local road projects and 5 collector roads.
The Public Works Department also carried out nearly 1.2 million dollars worth of road repairs.
The construction season ended last week when asphalt plants closed for the winter.
