Clarke Says Detheridge is Making a Remarkable Recovery

Councillor Claire Detheridge’s seat was also vacant at last night’s council meeting.

Detheridge is now at the Regional Hospital in Sydney where she’s recovering from a brain bleed.

Council voted to grant Detheridge and extended leave of absence last light, a move that’s required after a councillor misses three or more council meetings.

Mayor Cecil Clarke says Detheridge is making a remarkable recovery.

He adds people in her district and the vacant district on the Northside can contact the Regional Council office if they have any concerns.
