Clarke Raises Most In Mayoral Race

Newly released figures show Cecil Clarke raised the most money among candidates for CBRM mayor in his successful bid for the post, last fall.

Clarke’s campaign got $147,750 from local businesses and individuals.

Rankin MacSween who finished third in the race for mayor raised the second most for his campaign with $87,255.

Meanwhile, Joe Ward who placed second behind Clarke raised only $778.72 in his bid for mayor.

The donations for Ward came entirely from himself for online advertising.
