Clarke Named New Eagles Coach

The Cape Breton Eagles have announced Jason Clarke as their new head coach.

The 52-year-old is the 11th head coach in the franchise’s history, taking over from Louis Robitaille.

Between 2022 and 2024, Clarke was assistant coach with the Anaheim Ducks AHL affiliate San Diego Gulls.

His other experience includes spending parts of the 2021-22 season in the Q-league with the Shawinigan Cataractes as assistant coach and with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan as head coach.

Eagles general manager Sylvain Couturier says the club has signed Clarke to a three-year contract.
